Hours: 23.5 hours/week
Student Population: General Education & SIP Program
Caseload: Approximately 38 students

Position Overview

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join an elementary school team in Palatine, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for an Illinois-licensed OT looking to make a meaningful impact while working a consistent school-day schedule.

The OT will support approximately 38 students across general education and the SIP program, collaborating with school staff to help students participate and succeed throughout their school day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students in an elementary school setting.
  • Support students across general education and SIP programming.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and related service providers.
  • Provide recommendations and strategies to support student participation and independence.
  • Help students develop skills related to academics, motor abilities, sensory needs, and daily school activities.

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License required.
  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team.

Compensation & Schedule

ASAP through EOSY
MondayFriday | 8:15 AM3:15 PM
23.5 hours/week
One elementary school assignment
