Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Active Illinois OT or COTA license (Please have your license available for verification; check status at the Illinois License Lookup website).
  • School-based experience or a strong desire to work with K-12 students in diverse special education environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Team-focused approach, valuing collaboration across disciplines.
  • Must be able to work onsite for the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and documentation for a K-12 caseload (details to be determined).
  • Collaborate with educators, special education team members, and families to develop student-centered strategies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to development and monitoring of individualized education plans.
  • Support students' independence, functional skills, and academic access.
  • Attend new hire orientation August 12-14 for a smooth transition into your position.
