Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain) in the state of practice
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for fostering a positive, inclusive environment for students of diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students needs for occupational therapy services within the school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve students' participation in academic, social, and daily living activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes
  • Provide consultation and in-service training to school staff as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering insight and recommendations for student goals
  • Adapt and modify classroom materials or environments to enhance students learning experience
