Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year. This contract position will cover five elementary campuses, working onsite alongside educators and support staff to promote student success. The assignment runs from August 2026 through May 2027, located in a supportive school environment near Overland Park, KS. The weekly schedule and caseload may vary, offering a rewarding opportunity to have a significant impact throughout the school year.
Desired Background and Requirements:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license, with all necessary credentials for school-based practice.
- Previous experience working as a school-based OT or with pediatric populations is highly valued.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to organize and manage therapy sessions across multiple campuses efficiently.
- A passion for helping students meet their functional, academic, and social goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and create individualized intervention plans for students requiring OT.
- Deliver onsite therapy services to elementary-aged children across five campuses.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student IEPs and progress.
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed.
