Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license for the state is required
  • Previous school-based OT experience is highly valued
  • Knowledge of educational best practices and individualized education plans
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Any additional district or state requirements (such as Professional Educator License or Para Certification) must be met

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in elementary and high school settings
  • Develop, implement, and track individualized treatment plans in collaboration with faculty and families
  • Assess students functional abilities and recommend appropriate accommodations or modifications
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
  • Support students fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skill development
