Job Description
Shape the learning environment and support students success as an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact by serving K-8th grade students across two to three campuses near Orland Park, IL. Enjoy the flexibility of a part-time schedule, working 20 hours per week, ideally spread over two to three days.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Current licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois
- Registered with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- At least three years of experience providing occupational therapy services, with a minimum of three years in a school-based setting
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to working with students, faculty, and families
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy interventions for students in grades K-8
- Travel between two to three campuses within the coverage area, providing consistent and high-quality therapy services
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals aimed at helping students reach their fullest potential within the academic environment
- Consult with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress and access to educational programming
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to state and district requirements
