Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist at a welcoming elementary school, working with transitional kindergarten through fifth grade learners. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 academic year, beginning August 8, 2025, and concluding May 29, 2026. Youll provide meaningful therapy in an onsite, part-time capacity (20 hours per week), working collaboratively with a manageable caseload of 22 students. Your skills will play a crucial role in helping young learners develop independence and reach important milestones.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California (active and in good standing)
- Previous experience delivering school-based occupational therapy services, ideally in elementary settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes, direct and consultative models, and documentation requirements
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Compassion and commitment to fostering student growth and participation
- Availability to work onsite for the full duration of the assignment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy to TK-5 students with diverse needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families to optimize student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, update goals, and contribute to educational team discussions
- Support the schools multi-disciplinary team by sharing expertise and offering practical strategies
