Step into a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting elementary students this summer near Orchard Park, NY. This contract position offers a meaningful way to make a positive impact in a school environment, helping young learners reach their goals and develop vital life skills.
You'll work from July 6th through August 14th, Monday to Friday, from 8:15am to 2:15pm, providing occupational therapy services tailored to an elementary caseload. Your expertise will guide students in building confidence and independence within the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active New York Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Prior experience supporting elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication skills and a supportive, collaborative approach
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Experience in a school-based setting is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students, targeting fine motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques for classroom success
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create and monitor student intervention plans
- Conduct evaluations, document progress, and adjust treatment strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and comply with school policies and state regulations
- Foster a caring, inclusive atmosphere that helps children thrive academically and socially
