Step into a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students across multiple school sites on the north and west sides of Jacksonville. In this contract position for the school year, youll play a vital role in helping children and adolescents reach their fullest potential in an engaging academic environment.
This is a full-time onsite roleremote or VOCO options are not availablewhere youll be itinerant, collaborating with diverse student populations and school teams. Caseload specifics are forthcoming, but expect to work 35 hours per week (7 hours daily), starting August 10, 2026, and wrapping up on May 28, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapist license
- Previous school-based or pediatric OT experience strongly preferred
- Able to adapt to a variety of school settings and work with diverse student needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to travel between multiple schools within your assigned area
- Up-to-date fingerprinting, or willingness to complete, with verification through AHCA Clearinghouse if applicable
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide OT assessments and develop intervention plans for students ages preschool through high school
- Deliver direct therapy and consult with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district requirements
- Support students participation, engagement, and independence within school routines and activities
- Flexibly adjust to shifting caseloads and school assignments as needed
