Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current, valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff
- Working knowledge of IEPs and experience participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Ability to adapt therapeutic plans to accommodate individual student needs and classrooms
- Organized, compassionate, and able to manage a diverse caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Assess and document students' functional abilities, progress, and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to develop and implement strategies for academic and daily success
- Design and oversee sensory and motor interventions targeting fine and gross motor skills, self-care, and classroom participation
- Assist with classroom modifications and support student inclusion in all school activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports as required by both the district and state regulations
