What were looking for:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of California (CA OT license required)
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work alongside teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and document progress
- Strong organizational skills and passion for fostering growth in young learners
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students based on IEP goals
- Perform thorough evaluations and document student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams to design and implement support strategies
- Educate teachers, staff, and parents on therapeutic techniques and accommodations
- Adapt materials and the learning environment to enhance students participation and independence in school routines
