Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kansas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process and relevant documentation requirements
- Compassionate communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse classroom and student needs
- Ability to create engaging, evidence-based interventions and programs
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students to identify occupational therapy needs in academic, functional, and social settings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies to support student participation and success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to deliver holistic services and seamless support
- Maintain clear records, progress notes, and IEP documentation in accordance with district and legal standards
- Offer consultative and direct services to support student development in fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expert input to student support plans
