Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract Occupational Therapist supporting schools in the Olathe, KS area. In this role, youll collaborate with educators and families to help students reach their fullest potential through individualized intervention plans. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and document progress comprehensively
  • Adaptable and patient approach to supporting diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students needs and areas for support
  • Design and carry out individualized therapeutic interventions
  • Monitor and report on student progress; adjust plans as necessary
  • Consult with teachers, support staff, and families regarding strategies and modifications
  • Assist in the development and review of IEPs in accordance with school requirements
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to promote holistic student growth
  • Stay current with best practices and compliance standards in school-based OT
