Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid OT state license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to tailor interventions to diverse student needs and promote functional independence in school routines
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting evaluations and implementing individualized OT treatment plans for students with varying needs
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress and inclusion
  • Documenting assessments, ongoing progress, and communicating results to team members
  • Participating in IEP meetings and providing recommendations and strategies to maximize student learning and participation
  • Promoting self-care, fine motor, sensory regulation, and adaptive skills in the classroom environment
  • Offering consultation and training to staff regarding best practices for occupational therapy supports
