Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, ideally within educational settings
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt and tailor therapeutic strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Passion for supporting childrens academic and developmental success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students to determine their individual OT needs within the school setting
  • Develop goal-oriented treatment plans and implement interventions to promote student engagement, motor development, and independence
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to integrate supportive strategies into the classroom and home environment
  • Document student progress and maintain compliant records in line with regulatory and school requirements
  • Attend team meetings and participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide education and resources to school staff regarding best OT practices
