Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the educational journey of students throughout San Francisco as an Occupational Therapist on a contract assignment for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, on-site position offers a dynamic opportunity to support students from kindergarten through high school across multiple school locations within the district.
Ideal candidates will use their expertise to evaluate and facilitate student participation in school activities, collaborating with educators and families to create supportive, ability-focused learning environments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist License recognized by the state of California
- No educator credential required
- Prior school-based OT experience preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage diverse caseloads
- Flexible and adaptive to working across different school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students based on educational plans
- Assess student needs, develop individualized therapy goals, and document progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school teams, and families to create and modify learning strategies
- Travel between assigned schools within a specific geographic region in San Francisco
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines and documentation requirements

- Consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year, from August 11, 2026, to June 2, 2027
