Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Masters degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Collaborative mindset for working alongside teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students therapy needs within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each students goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on enhancing daily living, fine/gross motor skills, and overall independence
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and treatment, following all school and regulatory guidelines
- Educate and support teachers and families with strategies and modifications to aid student participation in class activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated student support
