Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students across a diverse educational landscape near Norwich, CT. This part-time position is perfect for an Occupational Therapist (OT) who brings previous experience within school settings and thrives on making a meaningful difference for learners from preschoolers up to young adults in transition programs (ages 18-22). The assignment runs from August 2026 through June 2027.
In this role, your schedule will span 2-3 days per week, with required coverage on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one additional weekday. Youll travel district-wide, collaborating with dedicated educators and professionals to support a range of developmental and functional goals for students at various stages.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active and valid OT license in Connecticut (or eligibility for CT licensure)
- Demonstrated background providing occupational therapy services in K-12 schools; experience with transition-age students highly valued
- Skilled in evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Excellent adaptability to serve a diverse caseload, including preschool and young adult transition programs
- Strong communication abilities for working with students, families, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions individually and in small groups across the districts schools
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to evaluations and progress reports
- Offer consultative support and training to educators and caregivers as needed
- Document all services accurately and maintain required compliance documentation
