A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available to provide leave coverage at a K-5 public school site. This contract role offers an opportunity to apply specialized skills in both school-based and healthcare occupational therapy within a K-12 educational environment.
Location: Norristown, PA
Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
Grade Levels: K-5th grade
Schedule: Full-time hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students in grades K-5
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments and document student progress according to state and federal regulations
- Provide interventions that support students functional abilities in sensory, motor, and fine motor skills essential for academic success
- Adapt therapy goals and approaches to meet diverse student needs during leave coverage
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy
- Familiarity with pediatric healthcare and home health OT practices
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a school setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to provide leave coverage and adapt to the scheduling needs of the school
