This contract position seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy services within school settings in Niagara Falls, NY. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting childrens developmental needs and helping students achieve their full potential through targeted occupational therapy interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individual therapy plans based on educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Provide direct therapy services addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
- Document therapy sessions and progress in compliance with school requirements
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and offer professional recommendations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license or certification
- Experience working as an OT in school settings
- Knowledge of pediatric developmental stages and therapeutic interventions
- Familiarity with special education processes and IEP requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse students and interdisciplinary teams
