Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred, but open to professionals with a strong passion for pediatric care
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to create individualized treatment plans and adapt modalities to diverse student needs
- Knowledge of current best practices and compliance within IDEA/IEP processes
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students therapy needs within the educational environment
- Develop and implement targeted IEP goals in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct therapy services individually or in small groups, focusing on functional, academic, and social-emotional skills
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and support staff to facilitate the successful integration of therapy strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with educators and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and program adjustments
