Essential Qualifications:

• Valid occupational therapy license in the state of Michigan
• Previous experience supporting students in elementary, middle, or high schools is preferred
• Strong understanding of the unique developmental needs found within school-aged populations
• Effective communication skills for working closely with teachers, administrators, families, and students
• Ability to multitask and manage caseload responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic environment
• Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and empowering student independence

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to identify strengths and areas for support related to movement, sensory processing, and daily school activities
• Develop, implement, and update individualized education programs (IEPs) as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Deliver both direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
• Document progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate outcomes with educational staff and families
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom activities and recommend assistive devices or modifications
• Advocate for students needs, ensuring equal opportunities and participation within school settings
