Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Current state licensure to practice as an OT
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric OT preferred
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students functional abilities within the school setting
- Design and carry out tailored therapy sessions to support students academic and daily living success
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to create intervention strategies and monitor progress
- Document student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Support IEP (Individualized Education Program) development and attend meetings as an OT resource
- Educate staff and families on strategies to foster student independence and participation
