Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • Current state licensure to practice as an OT
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric OT preferred
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students functional abilities within the school setting
  • Design and carry out tailored therapy sessions to support students academic and daily living success
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to create intervention strategies and monitor progress
  • Document student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Support IEP (Individualized Education Program) development and attend meetings as an OT resource
  • Educate staff and families on strategies to foster student independence and participation
