Desired Qualifications:

• Hold a current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in New York
• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• Previous experience providing OT services within an educational or pediatric setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Willingness to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students as part of their educational programming
• Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions focused on improving students functional abilities in academic and daily living tasks
• Consult with teachers, parents, and other specialists to modify classroom activities and support student success
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, interventions, and progress, ensuring compliance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reporting
• Provide training and resources to staff and caregivers for successful carryover of therapy strategies
