Youll work full-time (8:00 AM4:30 PM) on-site with PreK-8th grade students, sharing a collaborative office with PT and APE professionals and receiving additional COTA support weekly. This hands-on role at a local academy is ideal for OTs eager for fresh challenges and resume-building experiences in a supportive, engaging school environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Louisiana
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Comfort working with PreK-8th grade student populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to PreK-8th grade students
- Collaborate with other therapy and education professionals
- Document progress and develop individualized treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and IEP development
