Job Description

Qualifications/Desired Experience

  • Active Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license, or COTA license/certification (CT DPH License/Passed NBCOT Exam)
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work effectively with students of various ages and abilities
  • Comfortable fulfilling a temporary assignment covering a maternity leave, with openness to possible extension

Responsibilities

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students throughout the district, Pre-K through 12th Grade
  • Collaborate with educational teams to design and implement effective treatment plans
  • Provide direct and consultative services addressing students developmental, educational, and physical needs
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress
  • For COTA candidates, work under the supervision of a licensed OT as required
  • Adapt and respond to the unique needs of students with a range of disabilities and learning profiles
