Job Description

Make an immediate impact in the lives of elementary students by providing exceptional occupational therapy services in a supportive, school-based setting. This full-time onsite opportunity offers the chance to work in a single elementary building, supporting both self-contained and regular education/resource students. The position begins as soon as possible and runs through November 20, 2026, giving you the security of a long-term contract within a welcoming educational community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapy license required
  • Prior experience in a school setting with elementary-aged children strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience supporting diverse learning needs
  • Ability to perform assessments, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Meets any additional state or district requirements as specified by administration

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to elementary students as outlined in IEPs
  • Evaluate student needs, document progress, and adjust interventions as needed
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, families, and administrators
  • Support both self-contained classrooms and resource/regular education settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
