Job Description

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Illinois OT licensure and credentials suitable for a school setting
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based OT, with exposure to home health, healthcare, or teletherapy preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and working collaboratively within educational teams
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a passion for supporting student achievement

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic services to a diverse caseload of students (caseload and workload details provided upon placement)
  • Travel between multiple schools as an itinerant therapist, with mileage reimbursed
  • Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, with administrative time included
  • Document sessions, progress, and recommendations utilizing the districts IEP system (comprehensive training provided)
  • Engage in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with school staff, faculty, and families to develop holistic therapy plans tailored for each student
