Job Description

Step into a dynamic educational environment as a contract Occupational Therapist, making a true impact across multiple schools in the Muskegon area. As the new academic year begins, you'll collaborate with students, educators, and support teams at a range of nearby sites, serving diverse learners with a variety of behavioral and therapeutic needs.

Your expertise will be vital in empowering students to access their curriculum and reach developmental milestones. Full-time, Monday through Friday, your work will shape positive change in learning communities while allowing you to build relationships with staff and families.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required
  • No supervision provided; must demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • Prior experience with school-based OT services is highly valued
  • Knowledge of interventions for students with a broad range of disabilities, including behavioral challenges
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, flexible, and collaborative mindset

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students needs and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Deliver direct OT services as prescribed in IEPs across multiple school settings
  • Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to support student success
  • Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Travel between designated school sites as scheduled
