Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this summer supporting elementary students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. Two positions are available for skilled professionals passionate about helping young learners thrive during the summer session from June 29th through July 30th, in the Flanders, NJ area. This role offers a unique chance to make a positive impact as you collaborate closely with students and school staff in a dynamic educational setting near Morristown.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Jersey
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting, especially with elementary-aged children strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of educationally relevant therapy approaches
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering student independence, participation, and well-being
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students according to IEP goals and district requirements during the summer session
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment interventions supporting student participation in daily school activities
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support classroom modifications and student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate in team meetings as needed to review and update therapy plans
- Offer consultation and resources to educators and families for carryover of strategies
