Job Description
This onsite Occupational Therapist position supports a K-12 school environment serving students ranging from kindergarten through age 22. The role involves providing direct occupational therapy services within a full contract school year, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week at the Monticello, NY location.
Responsibilities include assessing students functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living tasks. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams is essential to promote each students educational and developmental goals. Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school and state regulations is also required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience working in school settings with children and young adults (K-22)
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices and school-based interventions
- Ability to manage a caseload and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
