Job Description
An onsite Occupational Therapist position is available in Monticello, NY, serving school-aged students from kindergarten through age 22. This contract role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, delivering therapeutic services within a school setting. The ideal candidate will hold a valid New York State Occupational Therapist license and demonstrate expertise in supporting students with diverse needs in educational environments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring for students ages K-22
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and inclusion
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous program improvement
Qualifications:
- Valid NY State OT license required
- Experience working with school-aged children in occupational therapy roles preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
- Ability to create engaging, student-centered therapeutic activities
- Knowledge of educational laws and IDEA regulations is a plus
