This contract opportunity invites a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to support young learners' growth and participation in school routines near Mission Viejo, CA.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Prior experience working with school-aged children or within an educational environment preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to connect effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with student needs
- Knowledge of IEP process and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students strengths and areas of need
- Develop targeted intervention plans designed to increase participation and independence in school tasks
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to promote student success across academic and functional activities
- Educate families and school teams on strategies to support student goals
- Maintain organized records and progress notes according to district and regulatory standards
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings as needed
