Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Minnesota occupational therapist license required (active and in good standing)
  • Background in providing OT services to school-aged children, with experience in elementary, middle, or high school settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal setting, and documentation in a school context
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
  • Passion for helping students achieve their potential through creative problem-solving and adaptive strategies

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students referred for OT services, developing individualized plans based on student needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy interventions to support students academic, social, and functional development
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to integrate OT strategies into the classroom and overall educational plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings, communicate progress, and provide recommendations to teams and families
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with state and school guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture and support district initiatives
