Make a positive impact on students by supporting their occupational therapy needs across elementary, middle, and high school settings. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with educators and families to help students build crucial life and academic skills.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota occupational therapist license (required)
- Previous experience working in school-based settings is preferred
- Familiarity with evaluating, planning, and providing interventions for students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with teachers, support staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt strategies to various learning styles and needs
Expected Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations for students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to each students unique goals
- Collaborate with educational teams to support academic access and participation
- Document progress and maintain accurate records aligned with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and recommendations
- Educate and train teachers and families on strategies to help students integrate therapeutic techniques throughout the school day
