Job Description
Step into an impactful role as a long-term substitute Occupational Therapist supporting elementary students during an essential assignment for the upcoming academic year. As an integral part of the school community, youll work collaboratively with educational teams and families to help students with disabilities achieve greater independence and academic progress.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting both formal and informal evaluations to assess each students needs in the classroom environment.
- Developing and implementing individualized occupational therapy plans based on students IEP goals.
- Delivering direct therapy as well as consultative services to teachers and staff.
- Closely tracking student progress, updating interventions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation in accordance with compliance standards.
- Contributing expertise during IEP, multidisciplinary, and family meetings.
- Acting as a resource for Assistive Technology including assessments, recommendations, and facilitating use with students.
- Supporting access to curriculum and school participation through creative, functional interventions.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned to enhance student success.
Desired qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in Minnesota.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated skill working with children and diverse student needs.
- Effective communicator with robust organization and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with Assistive Technology in education beneficial.
- Enthusiastic team player committed to student-centered care.
Preferred experience includes IEP management, collaborating closely with special education professionals, and supporting a range of unique learning profiles.

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.50 to $61.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
