Step into an impactful opportunity working with elementary students as an Occupational Therapist within an engaging school environment. This onsite contract position focuses on supporting approximately 30 students across various grade levels with a wide range of disabilities during the 2026-2027 academic year. With a manageable 19-hour weekly schedule, you'll have the chance to make a lasting difference in each childs educational journey while maintaining a balanced workload and meaningful connections with staff and students alike.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license for Minnesota (MN OT License)
- Experience working with children in elementary settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with a broad spectrum of disabilities and diverse caseloads
- Ability to collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students with varying needs
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving with teachers and staff to maximize student outcomes
- Support students independence and participation in academic and everyday activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive strategies as needed
