Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting students through a full school year contract, working as an Occupational Therapist near Minneapolis, MN. In this position, you'll collaborate with educators and families to help students with a range of behavioral and developmental needs realize their potential. This full-time opportunity, Monday through Friday for approximately 30 hours per week, allows you to combine your expertise across school, home health, and healthcare settings in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota Occupational Therapist license with eligibility to practice independently (no supervision provided)
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Familiarity supporting students with diverse behavioral and developmental disabilities
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions for individual education plans and diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students with various needs in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess students functional abilities and create intervention strategies that encourage participation and success in a school environment
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, and families to promote strategies that carry over across educational and home settings
  • Maintain thorough documentation of goals, treatment sessions, and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student support plans
