Make an impact in the daily lives of students by bringing your Occupational Therapy expertise to a contract opportunity close to Minneapolis, MN. This role involves working in a single building with a focused caseload (20-40 students, with groups of 4), providing direct support in an engaging educational environment. Multiple positions are available, including four full-time long-term contracts and two openings for long-term substitutes to cover the first couple of months (exact dates to be determined).
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to adapt therapy interventions to the needs of students ages K-12
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, students, and families
- Flexible and organized when working with varying caseloads
- Commitment to supporting students functional performance and educational success
What You'll Do:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students with a range of needs
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions in collaboration with special education teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Work within one assigned education center building, minimizing travel between sites
- Consult regularly with teachers and staff to support classroom adaptations and student success
- Complete required documentation and participation in IEP meetings
