Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity supporting students growth and development as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite assignment spans from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and is conveniently situated near Columbus, GAwith specific school placements to be finalized by the district based on your skills and their needs.
This role invites you to help shape accessible learning environments by providing high-quality therapies for students, collaborating closely with educators, and directly impacting student outcomes. The caseload will be determined to align with your expertise and preferences, ensuring a tailored fit for your experience in school settings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold an active GA OT License
- Preferably one or more years of clinical experience delivering OT therapy, ideally with pediatric populations
- Prior experience as a school-based OT or COTA is highly valued
- COTAs must have relevant school-based work; priority given to those with previous school experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to providing services onsite (remote work is not available)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver therapy for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to establish effective intervention plans
- Track progress and maintain accurate documentation per school and district standards
- Advocate for students functional independence and inclusion in school activities
