Job Description

Exciting contract opportunity available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide skilled support in a dynamic school environment near Middleton, WI. This full-time, one-month position involves working with early childhood, 4K, and elementary students, offering you the chance to make a direct impact while managing a diverse, manageable caseload of 32 students (24 direct, 8 consult).

Your days will bring variety, collaboration, and the chance to help young learners build essential skills, all within a supportive educational team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Wisconsin OT or COTA license required
  • Experience working in school-based settings or with children preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and fellow professionals
  • Passion for supporting the growth and development of early childhood and elementary-age students

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Consult with teaching staff and parents to support student success and access to curriculum
  • Evaluate student abilities and develop appropriate interventions and treatment plans
  • Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, goals, and progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multi-disciplinary teams
