Job Description

Exciting opportunities await experienced Occupational Therapists interested in making a difference in educational settings. We're seeking two dedicated professionals for full-time contract roles, providing services across multiple school sites in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, FL. These positions begin on August 10, 2026, and extend through May 28, 2027, offering you the chance to support students growth and independence.

This opportunity is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable working itinerantly, as caseloads and school assignments will be finalized upon placement. This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) Occupational Therapy license required
  • Previous experience as a school-based Occupational Therapist preferred
  • Familiarity with a range of student needs across age groups
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability for itinerant assignments
  • Reliable transportation to travel between school sites within your assigned region

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students, promoting participation in school routines and activities
  • Assess and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes according to district and state requirements
  • Consult with educators and families to optimize student support

Important Details:

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week; 7-hour workdays following the school calendar
  • Fingerprinting is required; candidates with prior FL school district fingerprints may use the AHCA Clearinghouse but should be prepared for additional steps if needed
  • New credentials, including a JLA badge, may take up to 10 business days to process
