Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist throughout the upcoming school year. In this full-time contract role, you'll work onsite across 2-3 school sites near Mechanicsville, VA, making an impact over the course of the 2026-2027 academic year. Youll help students thrive by evaluating needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with educators and families.
Your week will consist of 35 hours dedicated to empowering students across various grade levels, using your OT expertise in a dynamic and supportive educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Virginia Occupational Therapy License (OT)
- Experience providing pediatric or school-based OT services
- Confidence navigating between multiple school sites
- Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
- Organized and adaptable; able to manage caseloads spanning grade levels
- Knowledge of therapy documentation and compliance in a school setting
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite occupational therapy to students based on IEPs and individual needs
- Assess range of abilities and formulate treatment goals aligned with grade-level expectations
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing student support plans
