Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active North Carolina license as an Occupational Therapist required
- Experience providing OT services in schools, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite occupational therapy interventions to elementary-aged students, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and set measurable goals based on each students unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support the integration of therapy into students daily routines
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input to support students educational goals
- Utilize a variety of intervention strategies, incorporating evidence-based practices and creative solutions
