Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Kansas (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric environment preferred.
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and ability to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and multidisciplinary teams.
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to inspire and motivate children from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide direct OT services to students with varying needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy goals in line with IEP requirements.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to facilitate student success.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress notes, and interventions.
- Offer training and resources to staff and families to support carryover of therapeutic strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to decision-making for accommodations and supports.
