Step into an empowering role supporting student growth and achievement as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant New Orleans area. This full-time, onsite contract position begins in August and runs through late May, offering you a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with a committed multidisciplinary team serving PreK-8th grade students.

In this role, you'll share an office with a Physical Therapist and an Adapted Physical Education Specialist, and benefit from a COTA on-site once per week. Your expertise will help students at Dolores T. Aaron Academy develop essential skills, ensuring every child receives the support they need in their educational journey.

What youll bring:

• Current Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs
• Commitment to fostering student independence and inclusion

What youll do:

• Assess, plan, and implement OT interventions for PreK8th grade students
• Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
• Collaborate with PT, APE, and COTA team members
• Maintain clinical documentation and IEP records
• Provide training and recommendations for classroom modifications
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed for student success
