Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Background in school-based OT or related healthcare settings
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible educational environment
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, and implement therapy for students identified with developmental, physical, or sensory needs
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapeutic activities within classroom routines
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
- Provide training, support, and resources for teachers and parents regarding OT best practices
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to develop and monitor IEPs
