Key Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
  • Background in school-based OT or related healthcare settings
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible educational environment

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement therapy for students identified with developmental, physical, or sensory needs
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapeutic activities within classroom routines
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
  • Provide training, support, and resources for teachers and parents regarding OT best practices
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal requirements
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to develop and monitor IEPs
