Occupational Therapist School-Based Contract Position Fayetteville, NC

A school district in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking eight skilled Occupational Therapists (OTs) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students within a structured school environment, focusing on both direct therapy services and essential administrative duties.

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Contract Duration: August 12, 2026 May 27, 2027
Work Schedule: Approximately 37.5 hours per week, excluding lunch breaks
Work Hours: All OTs will be based out of a central office location

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 15-20 hours of direct occupational therapy services weekly to students based on a caseload determined by a workload model
  • Conduct evaluations, collect data, and complete thorough report writing and documentation
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support student progress and therapeutic goals
  • Maintain compliance with state educational and therapy regulations

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina is mandatory
  • Experience working in school settings preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with school personnel and families
  • Willingness to work on a contract basis from August to May, aligned with the school year

Additional Information:

  • Travel applicants are welcome provided the NC license is secured by the end of July prior to the school year
  • Central office location for all OTs, providing a consistent base for service delivery and administrative tasks
