Step into an exciting opportunity to make a difference as an Occupational Therapist supporting K-12 students in a vibrant school-based environment. This full-time contract role offers 35 hours per week, running from August 5, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Youll work in a supportive setting near Lake City, FL, where you will help students of diverse backgrounds thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions tailored to each students unique needs. Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other educational professionals to foster student progress and independencemaking every day rewarding and impactful.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Valid Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license (required)
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based OT interventions for K-12 populations
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Adaptability and a positive, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students according to their IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Document progress and communicate results with students, families, and educators
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the multi-disciplinary team
- Educate staff and families on strategies and adaptations to support students functional skills in the classroom and beyond
