Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working within school environments, ideally across various grade levels
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, assessments, and treatment planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
- Ability to adapt therapies for a range of developmental, physical, or learning differences
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and implement individualized therapy plans for students in elementary, middle, and high school
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure continuity of care and support student progress
- Document student performance, maintain accurate therapy records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Consult on classroom modifications and strategies to promote participation and academic achievement
- Educate school personnel on interventions and best practices tailored to student needs
