This contract role offers an opportunity to collaborate with educators and families to support students growth, focusing on interventions that promote success in and out of the classroom.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably in a school-based environment
- Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes and documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a flexible, team-oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students with diverse needs
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to implement therapy strategies within the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative planning for student accommodations
- Monitor student progress, adjust plans as needed, and maintain up-to-date records and reports
- Provide direct therapy services individually and in small groups, focusing on fine motor, sensory, and functional skills necessary for academic participation
