Bring your expertise as a School Occupational Therapist to an engaging contract assignment located near Lowell, MA. This position allows you to make an impact across PreK and high school settings, supporting students with various needs. The role runs from July 6, 2026, through August 13, 2026, with a consistent schedule Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling 22 hours per week.
Youll collaborate with educators to serve students with social-emotional, behavioral needs, and those on the autism spectrum in both early learning and high school environments. Your insights will help to foster growth, independence, and positive experiences for students in these critical age groups.
What were looking for:
- Current, active Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts
- Experience (or strong interest) in school-based settings
- Background supporting PreK children with social emotional/behavioral needs and Elementary/High School students with ASD
- Collaborative spirit to work alongside teachers, families, and other professionals
- Compassionate communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to design and implement creative interventions tailored to student needs
What youll be doing:
- Delivering OT services, assessments, and interventions for PreK through high school students
- Working with social emotional, behavioral, and ASD populations
- Contributing to IEP meetings and progress documentation
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Promoting life skills, sensory integration, and adaptive strategies in the school environment
- Managing a balanced caseload with dedicated time for planning and consultation
